My PSC 1310 all in one is printing super slow

Hello,

Two weeks ago, I changed the black and color print cartridges on my all in one printer. Now documents print but it takes forever, and the printer seems to print in spurts, not in one continuous movement as before. I have no error messages, or anything mechanically or software wise that is pointing to a problem. Could the printer not like these particular cartridges? They are remanufactured inkjets from the same retailer I've used for years. Is the printer just too old now (4 yrs.)? Any ideas what's going on?
