I just bought and assembled this mobo with a Core2 duo 6420
processor,Patriot PC2-6400LLK Ram with 4-4-4-12 timings as well as 2 Seagate
120gig HD in RAID.The Other parts are older 7800GT Video,2 DVD Dual Layer
Burners and a Hauppage 250 TV Card all in an Antec P160 case with an Antec
TruePower 2.0 550w PSU.
Had a little problem installing an OEM version of XP home....Digital Signal
to LCD monitor would not connect...kept getting the no signal message on
boot as XP was loading.Showed the BIOS screen without problems.Disconnected
the digital and connected the VGA and it worked.Went back to Digital and all
was fine.
It actually was one of the easiest builds I've done.Bios detected everything
just fine ......every thing on AUTO.

Now comes the fun part of overclocking to see how far it can go!!!!!!
Anybody got one of these...any help out there??

Follow up
Mobo has the ability to save your CMOS settings on a 2nd CMOS Chip....So
that when OC'ing too much you can restart where you left off by entering the
BIOS and bringing that setting back.
So far I unlinked the RAM from the FSB and slowly edged up to 300FSB......no
voltage adjustments.
In order to adjust the memory timings one needs to push CTRL+F1 to display
the advanced settings.
I noticed my timings were at 4-4-4-4-15............which most likely
explained my higher latency.
Everest Ultimate ver 2.8 does not read the chipset correctly nor does it
give the right multiplier of the CPU.It also does not report what the RAM is
running at especially in the test section. The newer version off their
website corrects those problems but still reads the multiplier as 6....which
the BIOS reports as 8...???????????
CPU-Z ver 400 also has a slight problem with the readings reporting the same
6 multiplier....but reports the right speed...2400.
Tonite I aim to correct those RAM timings and push a little further on the
FSB front.

Thought I would continue this....just in case someone has..will have the
same mobo
Running the FSB at 400 ..unlinked x4
Running the CPU multiplier at 8
Running the RAM 402.....x2=800 at 4 4 4 12..2T
All Fan Controls are off and the same power settings as before
Running into problems with the new CPU-Z as well as Everest 400.....they
both report the right FSB but only a 6 multiplier.
The Gigabyte EasyTune5 reports the correct(?) setting of 8....for 3.2ghz
............but which is right????
Ran PI..........2M @ 40.890s............4M @ 1m34.813s
Ran Sandra 2007.5.11.35 and came up with
Arithmetic...dry 29342...whet 20271
mulimedia integ 176473.....float 95706
mem bandwidth ram int. 7520 ram float 7521
latency random access 142ns speed factor 75.6
The comparisons seem good but is it ????
Under Everest 400 my Latency shows as 55.8???????????//
I know you should not compare between 2 different programs or even verions
but could/would someone give me
some idea if this is mediocre....ok.....so..so............or sucks??
