Need help connecting two Asus DVD burners

Thanks, I appreciate the help. I did read the manual although
I wasn't sure where to connect the second burner as one is connected
to the red (boot) connector.

and boot, Geesh ! <=== I doubt you can boot from black connector

With both burners connected to red copying a disc from one drive to the
other was slow, with one on red and one on black it seems to work great.

when sata is set in ide mode, even with sata, the terminology is used though
it physically isnt really mater/slave.

That seems weird.

However, I have no experience with a mainboard with your ICH9 controller.

The closest I came was one with an *ICH9R* (the R is for Raid) controller.
Any of the SATA ports were bootable on that system.

There are NO ***PERFORMANCE*** issues. NONE.

There may, however, be issues in terms of what drives you can boot from,
or even recognize without installing drivers.
