Hello... I've been writting on other group but my main problem is finding
bios. I've never did it
and I don't know what to look for.
Here is log from some program:

"Program: eSupport.com BIOS Agent Version 3.52
BIOS Date: 08/13/98
BIOS Type: Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG
BIOS ID: 08/13/1998-i440BX-ITE867-2A69KS2GC
OEM Sign-On: BB-1A5
Chipset: Intel 440BX/ZX rev 2
Superio: ITE 8671 rev 1 found at port 279h
OS: Win98
CPU: Pentium® II With On-Die L2 Cache 300 MHz
BIOS ROM In Socket: Unknown
BIOS ROM Size: Unknown
Memory Installed: 127 MB
Memory Maximum: Unknown
eSupport.com, Inc.
1-800-800-BIOS (2467)
www.esupport.com"

I'm trying to change my old celeron 300 to PIII 533
Can anyone help me to find a new version of my bios?
Thanks very much!
regards

From the information you gave, I found that your BIOS is used on either a
SOYO SY-6BB or SY-6ZE+. Which motherboard model do you have?

Here's your 2 choices. Look between the PCI slots and see what is printed
on the circuit board. It may answer your last question about which version
you have. You may also look on the side of the PCI sockets. There may be a
label on the outside of the last PCI socket.

Look at SW1 near the edge of the circuit board next to the memory slot. Is
it jumpered or not. It should not have a jumper for your new processor.
It may have had one for the celeron.

according to : http://www.soyousa.com/dl/manuals/quick-sg/q6bb10.pdf

The release notes for BIOS version A5 state "The supported range of CPU
frequencies is raised to 466MHz."

The release notes for BIOS version A6 do not mention any further CPU
support changes.

The VERY last place I would look is ESUPPORT.I used their bios agent
and made the enquiry for a new bios.Their response eventually after
repeated emails was there is not one available despite the fact that I
knew there had been an update to the one I had (The company long
deceased but an AM bios never the less).
I even phoned Customer Support from the UK and after holding for
20mins only to be told "There is no update to your bios"
by someone who really sounded as if Customer Support was the last thing
on his mind.I got one from elsewhere,I was one of the lucky ones.
Grow old Grow wise.Get wise.
