I installed it day before yesterday (Thursday) and all's well so far.

It does not seem to cause any problems.
Neither does it restore my faith in Internet Explorer - there are advisories
out warning users to consider killing Javascript under IE entirely (which
greatly reduces its usefulness) -- at a minimum, I've decided that when I do
online ordering or banking, I now use my iBook and Safari or Mozilla - not
Windows and IE.

I see where Microsoft has just issued this new patch:
"Critical Update for ADODB.stream (KB870669)" to
counter the problem that's been in the news lately. It
looks like it's a registry modification. Does anyone know
of any problems installing this update on an XP Pro
system?

Thanks!
