Would upgrading to a FX 5200 be a good choice? I am a avid gamer, but
a college student, who is very limited on budget. My computer specs
are as follows:

Dell 4100
GF2MX- 32mb SD-Ram <-Crappy and old, but solid!
PIII- 1.1GHz
512 133mhz SD-Ram
40 GB WD HDD
20 GB WD HDD

With specs like that, would I even see a difference in games like
UT2003, NFSU, Race Driver, and Halo (which runs terribly)? Thanks.

If your budget stretches far enough, have a look at the Radeon 9600XT, which
also comes with a voucher for a free copy of half life 2. Its probably the
best card you can get for the price.

The TI4200 is a good card for the money.Though i think GF2mx is a
3.5v card, and most new cards are 1.5v. The TI4200 certainly is.

Seems like a fairly decent setup, except for the vid card. Another
relatively cheap upgrade is to put in a 1.2 or 1.3 Tualatin Celeron
(normally 100MHz FSB) using a socket adapter to overclock it by making
it run on a 133MHz FSB. You'll end up with processor speeds of 1.6GHz
or 1.733GHz for about $50~$60. Check out DellTalk forums on Dell's
website - search for "geekverter" - a number of 4100 owners have done
this and reported positive results and no overheating problems.
