NF7S fails to power on

On power up I get the red and green light for a time, fans seem to come on
then green light dies and fans stop after a second or two. The fan on the
motherboard does not start.

This machine had recently become very unstable, culminating in this latest
episode which is preventing a windows reinstall.

Any suggestions?
