Notebook Asus a6000 die :(

I have a6000 asus series intel centrino /since 2005/ it is still on
warranty but polish asus service is awfull... i have a problem,
yesterday i was watching the movie and I miss the "low battery monit"
and asus shutdown /battery over/ i plug power cable , it shows
"charging" i press "power button" it starts for 1-2 seconds and
shutdown... i see only green led on DJ PANEL and BLUE led /asus check
mail led/ no screen no fan only i see cdrom led blink and 1-2 seconds
shutdown... any ideas what happend? i tried disconnect all hardware
like hdd, cdrom ram - the same effect 1-2 second and shutdown /i tried
also with battery or not/

As of last week I am also experiencing this problem. I was told that it could be the charging station and that it could cost $500 to fix. Just wondering if you's found out how to fix it or what the problem was?
