NVRAM Ultra 5

HI All,
The NVRAM chip on my Sparc Ultra 5 seem to have the battery go out on
it. So I purchased a new one from http://www.mouser.com/, the model of
the chip I got to replace the old was "M48T59Y-70PC1 511-M48T59Y70PC1
70ns 8kB ". The only problem is that when I put the chip in, the machine
never goes to the OK prompt. The keyboard's cap lock blinks for maybe 30
second and then the system doesn't seem to anything for the next 30 min.

know what I am missing. Any help would be highly appreciate.
