Don't do it.
If you are the sort of person that does not like to waste time and
money than I advise you not to purchase this printer. I made the
mistake of doing it for a customer of mine. I dread making that
mistake. If you are wondering here is why.
First of all it takes for ever to assemble and configure (if you buy
the version with a network card). Second the printer performs poorly
in a computer environment with more than one computer. Third it uses
way too much ink. You should plan to spend about $100 or more in
cartridges a month (the office has 5 computers). Fourth the printer
shakes like a car that needs tunning when printing. Fifth it is unable
to choose automatically the paper size to use. So if you print a
document with different size paper you have to print one size first
and than the other. You have to tell the printer which tray to use
otherwise it prints all in 8.5x11. When I called the HP support the
person told me he was not aware of any printer that had could do that.
Amazing. I have an Apple 16/1600PS laserjet who is old as dirt that
can do that. But I forgive him since he is from India. Sixth when
faxing more than one page the feeder takes in more than one page at a
time. Seventh if you are scanning documents through the automatic
document feeder at high resolution and color depth the scanning is
way, way to slow and worst of all it makes a noise like a train going
by. Eight. The replacement hp sent has the same problems as the first.
