OT: External enclosures advice

Ok I narrowed down my choice to either a one or a two drive external
enclosure and the price is almost the same per drive. I decided to go
with a SATA interface inside the enclosure tho it looks like IDE might
be more popular right now. If it matters, I'll have about 4 to 8
systems on a home network. The reason I chose the SATA was for
future needs but any thoughts on this?? And is it worth considering
1 or 2 drive enclosures?? I'm inexperienced with this stuff except
for the mybook external I have. I chose this time not to go with
mybook because the reviews looked to me like the quality went down a
lot and I'm looking for reliable external drives.

If it matters here are my choices for enclosures ...
a) Galaxy METAL GEAR 3538UC-Black Aluminum 3.5" x 2 Black USB 2.0
Dual Bay External Enclosure

-- or--

b) VANTEC NST-360SU-BK 3.5" eSATA + USB2.0 Aluminum External
Enclosure

and for now my choice for a new hard drive (actually just one for now)
is the Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 (Perpendicular Recording) ST3500630AS
500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive (OEM)

My priorities is quality/reliability and then the cost. Feel free to
comment as I'm listening and thanks.

Vantec is a VERY good brand. I recently bought some 2.5" ATA iMicro external
drive enclosures on sale from my distributor. Childishly simple to put a drive
in one... Ben Myers

I have that Vantec eSATA enclosure. It didn't work with my computer.
Freezing during large file transfers. Vantec didn't respond to my email so
don't expect support.

I have another computer now and the enclosure works fine.
