I posted a while back asking for any info. about products to stream
audio from a PC to a remote stereo system so I thought I'd follow up
on what I found.
There's an interesting product that I like that streams 802.11g and
has a display to choose music that is on your home stereo and Internet
radio stations. It's only $33 now at buy.com:

It has a remote control and once you get used to it it's not that
difficult to operate. I use it for listening to Internet radio and
music playlists in a room in which I don't have any computers. The
user reviews can explain it better than I can. The sound quality is
pretty good.
For streaming music only, the product that I found which I like is the
Logitech Wireless Music System for PC. It's only $57 at Amazon:

It's what I was initially looking for - a simple streaming device that
plugs into a USB port on one end and the target stereo on the other
end. I use it for my main living room area, streaming from my desktop
PC. With Remote Desktop, I can control it from my laptop in the
living room.
These products are inexpensive and do the job well.
