I have tried to overclock my fsb by rebooting and entering bios however
my fsb doesnt go up in 1mhz, it only allows me to choose either 100mhz,
133mhz, 166mhz or 200mhz... i have a AMD 1800+ which is set to 133mhz by
default... is there any software i can use to overclock my fsb in
windows... like easytune4 for gigabyte Mobo's.

Also my CPU temp is on avarge 42C - 46C without any overclocking and i
have a heatsink and fan plus 3 extra fans on my case, is this normal?

I have:

MSI K7N2 Delta mobo
AMD 1800+ CPU
Sparkle GeForce FX 5200

Thanks in advance
Glen

in 'advanced chipset features' you need to set 'system performance' to
'manual'. then you can adjust 'cpu fsb clock' in 1mhz increments

Riight... hmmm well that was easy, thanks Chris.

Can anyone answer this: what i should my CPU temp be at: currently it is
at around 42-45C.

That's fine. If it gets over about 55C under load, you may want to get
a better heatsink/fan.

Case cooling and cpu cooler choice along with room ambient play a huge part
in how efficiently your cpu is cooled. My XP1800 runs at 32-35 with a mobo
temp of 25 and ambient of 22.
All of this is a direct result of playing with a variety of cases, coolers
and fan combos over the past few years.
Having said that, your prime concern should be system stability with the
obvious desired result being a box that runs well and does not overheat.
It's easy to bandy about temps ( of which I am guilty, see above) but those
temps are individual to each persons' build. They can only be used as
guidelines.
I'd say your temps are average and quite acceptable. Max for an XP1800 is
90c, but that is bacon frying time.

Regards,

Garry

im a bit of a noob when it comes to overclocking, just wanted to know
when i should get worried about my CPU temp.

Hi,
I've the same mobo with a xp2500, FSB at 200mhz (-->xp3200+)and a mean temp
at 35°C.
Do not hesitate to install a greater fan than asked in the notice.
