I am not sure if this is the right place for my question otherwise my
apologie.
I did buy a mapower dual 5" firwire case with a oxford 911 chip.
With a tool received from a friend I did try to update the firmware. The
upload did work well. In this case I would like to use a dvd-rec from
pioneer and a cd drive.
In that tool ( uploadergui.jar ) I could set the kind of drive it should
regonize. Simple and clear to me : a 'dvd/cd'.
In the advanced panel I did see that a few checkboxes where selected. They
are default settings I guessed. I choose upload and then........... two days
and manny restarts later.............. Nothing. bridge is still not
available. Even the tool cant find it. Also the hardware information tools
on the mac and windows cant find it anymore.
How do I get my firewire bridge back? Is there a way to reset the chip to
some defaults? Or is there a tool maybe with a serialconnection? If you need
moere info I will open the case and check the print/chips.
Please help me. I will be thankfull to you all
