P5AD2 Premium basic q's

Hi all,

I got hold of one of these boards, and have almost got everything
working 100%!! There are just 3 outstanding issues I was hoping I could
get some advice on:

My setup:
Pri_RAID - 80gig PATA HDD
Sec_RIAD - 120 gig PATA HDD
Pri_IDE - DVDRW
+3Ware RAID controller w/RAID 5 array (4 PATA drives)

I have NO SATA devices. The Pri_RAID and Sec_RAID are set up as RAID1
using the ITE controller s/w and is also my boot drive/array. I am
running XP Home.

Q's:

1. I have installed the latest intel chipset s/w, but for some reason
the driver properties show v.6.0.0.1013 from 2004. Have tried
reinstalling the latest version from the intel website, but no change.
Unless what I have really IS the latest version, what can I do to
correct this?

2. I have set the IDE controller to RAID mode in the BIOS so I can
install the intel Matrix Storage Manager (application accelerator -
same thing?). Post-install, device manager shows an error code 10
saying the device could not start. What can I do? Will it not "start"
unless I stick 2 SATA drives on there?

3. Finally, is there any kind of Windows interface to manage the ITE
controller/RAID settings for my RAID1 setup? Would like to be able to
execute/schedule consistency checks etc, in case a drive starts going
bad. I almost never turn my PC off/reboot, so I wouldn't see any ITE
controller BIOS error messages if something goes wrong!!
