It is my experience that some flash drives will be recognized by the BIOS
while others will not. My Corsair Flash Voyager is one of the latter.
However my JetFlash is recognized. I've tried all sorts of formatting with
the Corsair and it's a no go. Tech has no answers either. So, I keep a
Pre-Installed Environment OS on my Jetflash for emergencies where my main
system's OS has been corrupted. This allows me access to files on the hard
drive before I attempt either a repair, restore, or a complete re-install
(data-destructive). I could also choose to use the Jetflash as a BIOS
update tool, but haven't had to try that yet as I use the EZ Flash utility
within the BIOS along with a floppy disk.
