P5GD2 DeLuxe: tons of problems with hdd

Hello NG

After about one year it started creating problems with disks (both EIDE
and SATA)
Qute often it happens that my pc doesn't recognize a disk, then I test
it on my pc at work and it's perfectly working. After many tests I
partially solved going back to an old bios version but recently problems
started again.
For several months I had four disks in my pc, now I have just one
I think also that the Asus damaged some of my disks... or do you think
it's something else?
The power supply should be ok, 450W

pls help

Don't use cable select and be sure your cables are good.

I'll check and do for the 'cable select' issue

cables are original Asus, I suppose they are good
