If history is a good indicator, a retail media disk will NOT work with HP's OEM
activation number. That's the way it was with XP.
Your best bet is to install with what you've got, then use Add/Remove Programs
to remove the junkware and trialware. Finally, remove all restore points after
updating with the latest critical fixes and run CCleaner to clean up the rest of
the garbage... Ben Myers
