What PCI slot for the escalade 8500-4? I'm so confused....

Hi,

I am installing a 3ware 8500-4 SATA controller
card on my motherboard (the supermicro X5DAE).

It is 64 bit, 33 mhz.

Before I got this motherboard, I contacted 3ware,
because I did not have a 64 bit, 33 mhz slot. (that is what
is printed in the box). I was told that's ok, I can just put
it in the 64 bit, 66mhz slot, and that would work fine.

Now that I have the X5DAE, I don't even have a
64 bit 66 mhz slot. Now I can only put it in a
64 bit 100 - 133 mhz slot.

I checked the system compatibility page on the 3ware site:

It lists the X5DA8, which is the same as the X5DAE only with SCSI.

The chart says that the 3ware sata controllers are to be inserted into
the 64 bit 133 mhz slot.

Good Lord! I am so confused.

Will putting the 3ware Escalade 8500-4 in the 64 bit, 133 mhz slot
fry my controller?
