Power Management IC's for BULVERDE components

Hello to all.

I am considering the possibility to use an Intel BULVERDE CE
(otherwise known as PXA270) outside of its normal PDA and multimedia
usage.

In other words, the battery should be replaced by for instance a 3V3
voltage provided by a DC/DC regulator.

Those of you who are considering or have considered the use of the
PXA270 component know that the component requires strict
sequencing/desequencing of all required powers, together with limited
voltage ramping.

The Intel Web site makes mention of a number of PMIC's (Power
Management IC's : DA903x)made by a german company by the name of
Dialog Semiconductor. I failed to find other brands recommended by
Intel.

The DA903x devices are too complicated for my requirements, because
for instance they include battery charging logic.

I am currently looking at a series of PMIC's by Analog Device (ADM1062
--> ADM1069), that appear to have the I2C interface required.

Has anyone heard about such components from other manufacturers. I
looked at Linear for instance, but they miss the I2C interface.

They recommend the Philips PCM50606, which was designed with the Intel
PCA chipsets in mind AFAIK. Others in the family (PCM50605, 4 and 3)
may also be of interest. They generally have fewer features, but that
may be a bonus.
