Hi

I have a question about the DC power supply range for LCD monitors. I
mean what is the max I can use without damaging the LCD.

I have a Samsung SyncMaster 531TFT. The manual says 12V 3.0A DC. I
dont have the adapter for it, and the replacement is costly. But I
have an adapter from IBM that is 13V 3.3A

Thanks for all your help

RadioShack has a universal adapter that will do 12 volt. In general, you
want the voltage to match, and the amperage to be about the same or higher.
Increasing the voltage input (in my mind) will significantly reduce the life
of the monitor, and 12V replacement supplies are wildly popular.

Oh, and your PC uses 12 volts. If you are cheap (like me), I would cut the
connector off of the IBM one, and wire it to a 12 volt wire on the PSU
output (a drive connector probably).

You did that? Or you're cheap like me?
