RadioShack has a universal adapter that will do 12 volt. In general, you
want the voltage to match, and the amperage to be about the same or higher.
Increasing the voltage input (in my mind) will significantly reduce the life
of the monitor, and 12V replacement supplies are wildly popular.
Oh, and your PC uses 12 volts. If you are cheap (like me), I would cut the
connector off of the IBM one, and wire it to a 12 volt wire on the PSU
output (a drive connector probably).
