Presario v2000 wireless problems

My HP Presario V2000 has intermittant problems in wireless mode. Plugging in
an ethernet cable works - on wireless alone it may or may not connect. What
does the wireless circuit consist of and could it be the problem

Unplug the A/C power, remove the battery, flip the V2000 over and find out. I
am assuming that it has a built-in miniPCI wifi card with antennae underneath
one of the little doors on the underside. Open up the little doors. One
would contain the memory and the other would contain the wifi card. Make sure
that two antenna wires are connected. Could also be a faulty card or a
somewhat incompatible wireless access point... Ben Myers
