Problem with A7N8X Deluxe and SATA Drive

I installed an SATA drive on my A7N8X Deluxe based system a couple of
days ago. I don't remember how I managed to do it but I installed XP
on the drive and it booted a few times. Now it refuses to boot to the
drive. Apparently in the BIOS it's called a SCSI drive. If I have a
bootable drive in the first IDE port position it will boot to that
drive even if I have SCSI set as the boot device. Once booted to the
drive in IDE 0-0 the SATA drive shows in the drive list and is
accessible. If I put a drive without an operating system in IDE 0-0
boot fails saying no operating system.

Why won't it boot to the SATA drive?

Did you install the sata raid drivers, even if not using raid?
Disconnect your other hd, boot from winxp cd, select repair installation,
early in the process F6 to install third party drivers from floppy (the raid
drivers) - if you miss F6 you will have to start over -
