Problem with DVD Writer (Windows 7, Inspiron 1545)

I have an Inspiron 1545, purchased in March 2009. It came with Vista
Home Premium preinstalled. I installed Windows 7, RC1 a couple weeks
after receiving the computer.

Everything worked great, until I installed the final version of
Windows 7 Home Premium (32-bit).

My DVD writer keeps disappearing. The only way to get it back is to
eject the drive. It immediately appears in "Computer" and will remain
for maybe a few minutes, if that.

It appears that other people are having the same problem.

Does anyone know what's going on? What can I do to fix this?

Should I download a new driver? if so, where do I get it?

Does anyone have a link to Windows 7 drivers for my Inspiron 1545?

Nope. I was thinking about getting it though.

I'm guessing the drivers included with Windows 7 have a few problems.
Does Dell have any official Widnows 7 drivers for the Inspiron 1545?
