Hi.
I've got a problem with my laserjet.
Suddenly there was the message "MF ZUF. A4" on the diplay
with "MF" blinking. Anybody an Idea, what that could mean?
Yesterday it just worked fine, and it also prints a testpage
too, but nothing from the computer...

Bye

Henning

I believe that MF A4 means it is requesting a manual feed of an A4 size sheet,
probably based on a print job that has been sent. I believe that loading an A4
sheet in the flip-down manual feed slot and pressing the enter key should
correct this, although it has been a long time since I used the LaserJet 4.

Thanx for your support.
Suddenly it worked again today, without enter key...
yesterday nothing helped at all, no enter, no menue...
Very strange. Well you're right it's a grandpa printer,
but normally it works just fine!

Bye for now

Henning

Henning - Just as a matter of interest, and for clarification, what language
is the control panel display set to ? I , being English speaking, am not
familiar with the word ZUF.
As previously mentioned on this thread, I think the printer was asking the
manual tray to put in an A4 sheet.
What you perhaps need to do is go into the printing menu and select mp tray =
off, then the config menu and manual = off. it will then (i think) look for the
pc tray or lower tray first.
let me know how you get on
