Could someone help me with a hardware question?

I have a 3 yr/old custom built pc. The system was built with a 120 gb
Western Dig IDE drive set as master and 2nd WD HD 40 gb as slave.
Anyway the master drive is getting paging errors and I need to replace
it. I bought a 160 Gig Seagate IDE drive and what I want to do is
(Using Norton Ghost v12) place the Seagate in my system as a slave &
copy the master drive to the Seagate. Once the copy is made I would
make the Seagate the Master drive. Problem is When I take out my
existing Slave Drive and put in the Seagate the system won't boot,
it's like the bios keeps looking for the Old Slave drive! I have
tried everything, even pulling the system battery, but it still keeps
looking for that drive. Any ideas?

Thanks

P.S. If you want to email me direct feel free at

Leave th 40 alone and connect the new drive to secondary IDE cable as
master, or slave to suit optical drive. Ghost 120 ont 160, then shutdown and
reomove the 120, set 160 as master and fit where 120 was.

Mike.
