Hi all,

I've been happily playing COD on 3.10 cats. I decided to plung into 4.1
Cats. All was OK except when I played COD. Sometimes, textures would
become corrupt on some maps. Plus, things just didn't quite look as good.
I'm not sure if the something was up with the lighting effects or everything
was "dulled" down, but things didn't look as vibrant/good. Anybody else
have this problem?

I thought Cat 3.10's fixed COD problems. I would've figured 4.1's would
have been alright since they are the next revision of drivers and in theory
all bug fixes and such would carry forward. I'm thinking about writing ATi
to let them know of my problems. I'm curious about everyone elses
experience.

By the way, I went back to version 3.10 and everything appears to be fine.

Thanks,
Chris Smith

Does COD run under OpenGL?

I had general Problems with Cat 4.1. Mainly I had too few fps, 10-60. I
tried many quality settings, FSAA/AF application controlled 2xFSAA/4xAF;
4xFSAA/8xAF. At each one I got too few frames.

I downgraded to Cat 3.10 and my fps are back to normal.

Yeah, COD is OpenGL. It's based on the OpenGL Quake3 engine.

I'm sending ATi an email about this. Thanks fellas!
