Anyone here know much about RAID on this board? I have 2 SATA drives set up
as RAID 1 and it was working great, I had some other problems with the
system and i disconnected one of the drives just to be sure i wouldnt lose
any data. Well, i got my other problem fixed and the whole system is
working fine now with RAID back up and running. The only thing is, on boot
the RAID screen still shows the volume as needing to be rebuilt. It has
been, its working fine and is definitely using both drives. What is causing
the BIOS RAID setup screen to complain the voume needs to be rebuilt? how
can i fix that?
Also, i read an earlier post about a guy whose HDD light was on steady with
the same board. Me too, always was that way. If you watch it closely it
will go on and off during the BIOS boot but about the time the BIOS gets
done and it gets handed off to the OS it will come on steady and never go
off till reboot. I've seen this with both Windows and linux so I doubt its
the OS. My solution was to just unplug the led connector <sigh>
Seems nearly impossible to get good tech support these days on most
anything.
