The 2.8C will overclock better but that doesn't mean it will
necessarily perform better in benchmarking tests or real world
situations. If you want the best bang for your buck go for the 2.4C
HT with 800mhz bus support. You can find one for about $150 and it
will overclock to 3.2 GHz on air-cooling alone. I have one and it
absolutely screams, while a 2.8C or E is faster and may overclock well
it doesn't overshadow the 2.4C when used with the games/software
available today. A 2.4C would free up more money for RAM and a better
video card. Make sure the motherboard you use has support for the P4
Prescott because Intel will be using this new chip design for quite
some time, so you can prolong the life of your computer by popping in
a faster P4 CPU in the future.
