Note: In the 'Advanced' area of the BIOS there is also a 'Onboard Video Memory' which should be set
to 'disabled'.
As to the other question: after removing/disabling the onboard in Device Manager, set the video
driver to 'Standard VGA'. Then shutdown, and install the new card, etc. You should be ok after
that...luck...
