I'd consider looking at the Dell Outlet prices, but only on the "previously
purchased new" inventory for the Studio 17.
Be sure to sort the results/inventory by price, and then check the details
for each system. You can wind up with some really nice premium options for
next to nothing.
ie: MS Office Home/Student, Bluetooth, extra AC adapters or batteries,
fingerprint reader, backlit keyboard and whatnot.
It's somewhat tedious, but if you find what you want at the price you want,
then the unit is already built and will likely be in your hands in 3-5
business days at some savings.
Regarding new units, given BestBuy's revealing and negative sales report
today (if that is a general indicator of retail electronics sales), then
there may be some very good deals coming as Dell and others are probably
very motivated to make sales - but who knows for sure?
Good luck.
