Well, I insist that you DO crosspost rather than multipost. This is not
just about you. From your newest post you still seem to have
misunderstandings about heatsinks. But I'm not going to contribute if you
insist on making things harder for everyone, even yourself. Getting the
same answer from a variety of responders is just a waste of time. What you
don't seem to know about crossposting is that if a user reads a cross-posted
message in one newsgroup, it appears FOR THAT USER already marked as read in
the other newsgroups. If multiple identical messages are multi-posted, the
duplicated-marked-as-unread messages represent an irritating loss of time to
knowledgeable users participate regularly in these groups.

| Yeah i was thinking it might be a thermal Non contact to core thing,
| but in windows it showed 50c in the drivers section. So maybe it was a
| short with the copper touching somthing. I just don't know.
|
| Anyway I am going to LAP the copper base of the NV silencer and the
| part where it contacts the Alluminim fins and hopefully that would
| increase the thermal conductivity. At the moment the base looks VERY
| VERY NO SMOOTH. I can see , not shinny at all.
|
| Do you think lapping where the alluminim fins to the GPU cooler will
| be of any benifit. How does that work ?
|
| Also going to remove the themal tape and put some different one to fit
| the ram chips better.
|
| But before i do that I am going to put some paper in the GPU and close
| the cooler and see what kind of hold it has on the paper if its good i
| don't know what the problem is. Anyway after its all finished will
| post back to see what happens. If it works i should get atleast a 5c
| inprovment in TEMPS, that would be good if it works as well

|
| Thanks all.
