Your best bet really is to look at overclocking forums and find out
what techniques and hardware/software others are using. Increasing
the front side bus is the initial step but you must have an
overclocking motherboard, decent ram and a processor that has ideal
steppings also doesn't hurt. Right now the best CPUs to use for
overclocking are the Pentium 4 2.4C 800mhz bus with Hyper threading
and the AMD Athlon 2500+ 333mhz bus Barton because of their price vs.
performance ratio.
