not to insult german-speaking people who use this newsgroup service,
but users of this service are primarily english-speaking.
unfortunately, i have never taken a german class in my life, and my
only reference is this little red book here in front of me. for
eglissh-speaking users, his problems seems to be as follows:
1. time: windows xp activation
2. problem: "new hardware detected" assistant appears at this time
whenever new hardware is installed. assistant sees printer.
3. the assistant has been run before without problems, and the device
in reference is connected
for pfa9:
check windows update. make sure the system is 100% up-to-date. if that
does not work, the you are, as we english-speaking people say "****
outta luck" (SOL). if you are indeed 100% up-to-date and you are still
having this problem, I might advise getting a lower version of windows
(they seem to get worse as time progresses), like Windows 2000. if that
costs too much in your area, and you are willing to lose all data on
your Windows drive, or be forced to buy a new hard drive, check
