It seems that Bethesda is going in the right direction. While Fallout 3
required an internet connection to activate, the subsequent mods removed
the necessity of even needing a CD in the drive to run. Of course the
first thing I look at now is the mention of internet connection needed
either to run or activate. If it is present I move on. Maybe if enough
people refuse to buy games that require the internet to run the
manufacturers will get the hint. Even Microsoft does not require an
internet connection to activate their OS or use it, unless they changed
that in 7.
