You mean the connect/reset/sync switch on the wireless keyboard/mouse? Is
the receiver connected to the KVM connected by one USB? If so, some wireless
lose the channel (I don't know what else to call it) if this USB port loses
power. And KVM switches tend to drop power during the switch.

My guess it to connect up a self powered USB hub on this line. Thus the
wireless receiver wouldn't lose power during the switching. Otherwise I
can't think of anything else that may be going on there. My wireless Micro
Innovations keyboard/mouse has a self sync so resetting it isn't necessary.
They do sport the tiny push buttons though just in case. But I believe I
only needed to use it the first time when it was new. Even changing
batteries I don't need to use it.

I do also have a cheap no name wireless mouse I got on eBay from China. And
you have to press the button on the receiver and the one on the mouse like
within 10 seconds of each other to get it to work. Although once the
receiver loses power (from the USB), you have to do this once again. Real
PIA really.

Still sounds like the power to the USB myself. A self powered hub should
solve this problem I would think.
