Hi,
Just a silly suggestion:
Isn't it more likely that your router is the one that isn't working
properly during high temperatures?
I have had systems that had overheating issues but never saw one
specifically loose a network connection at such a time. It is true
however that electronics does tend to fail to function properly when
exposed to stress such as high temperatures, if not properly
constructed. Technically you could try your warranty, since there is no
way in which you could repair damage like this in a motherboard.
I would still try a fresh reinstall of Windows first though, if I were
you, since the whole software firewall subsystem is severely screwed up
in Windows and going so far as having had a firewall installed at some
point is often enough to make it stop working under highly specific
circumstances.
LP,
Jure
