Its really sad isn't it. I mean, here we are in the midst of what they call
"globalization" or, what was the term?, off-shoring? Oh, wait i remember
"outsourcing"
I see the end result too. We became a nation of consumers and not producers
for any kind of skilled endeavor. Where's the flock of new engineers? Well,
there are none, not many anyways and a lot of those arent that good. Why?
because there aint that many places around here that need them, so demand
drops, the schools back-burner the tougher stuff in math and science and
instead focus on the touchy-feely things and 10-15 years later we got
ourselves a nation of half wits.
Bruce you are right to boycott China, for a lot of reasons, but it wont do
any good. Until we start putting America first and change the decision
process to one where both Dem and Repub start thinking of "whats best for
America" 1st, before anything else, we are not going to see any slow down
in the slide towards becoming an all consumer, slave nation.
If people would just send email or write letters or call these fools in
Washington and their state legislators and demand they stop the infighting
and start thinking of America 1st it would really make a difference.
I got a call from my party the other day, wanting money of course. I told
em, nope, not till I'm satisfied with the outcome of the DPWorld thing. I
said, "If they get control of our ports, I'll not give you another dime
ever" I meant it too.
As Michael S. says "Language, Culture, Borders"!
I'd add to that: "education"
