Do you have AppleTalk enabled on the iMac? Mac OS 9 while it can do
AppleShare via TCP/IP, it still depends on AppleTalk to advertise and
find other servers.

But the likely reason is that the WGR614 may not be routing AppleTalk
over the WiFi.

If this is the case, best you can do is give your 2 Macs fixed IP
addresses and then in the Chooser, enter the IP address of the other
system. You would look at your WGR614 and see what IP addresses it is
assigning via DHCP and then choose address in the same subnet that are
not going to conflict with the DHCP addresses. Or it might be possible
to tell the WGR614 to always associate a given IP address with specific
Mac clients. Either way, this will make sure that your Macs get the
same IP addresses and you can then manually enter those IP addresses in
the Chooser (Connect To Server) dialog when you want to connect to the
other system.

The default printer sharing on Mac OS X is based or Rendezvous which Mac
OS 9 does not have.

Might I suggest that you just upgrade your Pismo to Panther? I used to
have a Pismo 500MHz and it ran Jaguar very nicely (it died 24 hours
before Panther was released :-( and I replaced it with a 14" iBook
G4/1GHz :-)

Having Panther on your Pismo would give your Rendezvous that is all
TCP/IP based and should allow your systems to see each other for file
sharing and for remote printers, etc...
