I get the same error by disabling the lan driver. So that was useless.
Reading over your original post, it sounds like windows is searching for
the MS ide drivers. If that's the case, with NVidia's 2.03 chipset
drivers, the Microsoft ide drivers are still correctly installed on my
system. Did you use the nvidia drivers off the cd? I never did, I just
downloaded 2.03 from nvidia. nvidia recommends uninstalling first,
before trying any other chipset drivers, re-installing over existing
chipset drivers is not recommended. But that may not help you at this
point, a re-install of win2k might be the only solution at this point.
