i have try to enable IDE BUS master and disable the Lan .. but the problem
is not resolved

i have try win2003 and there are not problems ... then i think it's a
software windows 2000 or nvidia drivers .

AUTORITY\SYSTEM

it's possible that it is for the fact that i used a user different from the
amministrator?

it is not the problem..
it's and error of the usb modem in fact i have the same error if i connect
the modem on my old pc with win2000 but it dont have this slow
boot/shutdown.

.... ther are not other error events or application warning ...

I get the same error by disabling the lan driver. So that was useless.
Reading over your original post, it sounds like windows is searching for
the MS ide drivers. If that's the case, with NVidia's 2.03 chipset
drivers, the Microsoft ide drivers are still correctly installed on my
system. Did you use the nvidia drivers off the cd? I never did, I just
downloaded 2.03 from nvidia. nvidia recommends uninstalling first,
before trying any other chipset drivers, re-installing over existing
chipset drivers is not recommended. But that may not help you at this
point, a re-install of win2k might be the only solution at this point.

i think that i will do a re-install of win2000 but for some days attend if
came out the sp4 for win2000 for my contry.

but .. how are your performance with hds...
the my hds also with win2003 and windows ide drivers go slowly.. with a
kt4000 i had best performaces... is normal for this mainboard?
