*Did you format your C drive? Cause Windows 2000 and Win XP are not plug and
play when it comes to motherboards.You have to do a clean new Win XP
installation .
When you still get a stop message like 0x0000008E when you try to do a fresh
install, you might try to stick the ram in another memory slot, or try
another stick if you have one. This helped for me once.
