I have a Wallstreet PowerBook G3 running 8.6 with an 802.11b wireless
card and I've shared files with several other Macs running OS X, some of
them also wireless:
SCSI PowerBook ("Wallstreet") G3, MacSense AeroCard, MacOS 8.6
iBook G3, Airport, 10.2
iBook G3, Airport, 10.3
iMac G4, wired, 10.3
Asante wireless router
If you plan to do wireless OS9-to-OS9 filesharing (i.e., AppleTalk),
make sure your wireless router can route AppleTalk traffic in addition
to standard TCP/IP packets. After much research, I've found that there
are two manufacturers of such routers: Asante (FR1104-G and its 802.11
predecessor) and Belkin (F5D7230-4). Apple's own Airport Base Stations
probably also support it but they were beyond my budget and so I didn't
check explicitly.
