How about the bios battery itself..? Power supplies are cheap enoug
today so would a check by replacment, not be a good idea to borro
one with
similar or greater Wattage..

When resetting CMOS I like to disconnect the power supply lead to th
mobo as well, another thing won't be a miss is to look for swolle
capacitors, caps for short... that may have bulge or their flat top
become dome looking, some may even leak corrosive gunge also a clue
