There are other ways to resolve these sorts of issues. First, the motherboard
chipset is an Intel 845. Go to the Intel web site and download the chipset
drivers for ANY motherboard with an 845 chipset. Install these first. Neither
network nor graphics will work without them.
Next, download the Intel Extreme Graphics drivers from the Intel web site.
Again, choose any Intel 845 chipset motherboard with on-board graphics.
Finally, go to the HPaq web site, search for Evo D510, and examine the drivers
there. Different versions of the D510 apparently use either a Broadcom or an
Intel Ethernet chip. Download and try the Intel one first. If that does not
work, install the Broadcom drivers.
This may sound like a lot of work, but it ought to be easier than finding the
necessary Compaq restore or driver CD... Ben Myers
