Remap fn key to an external keyboard

I have an Inspiron 8600 which I just purchased an external display and
D/Port replicator for. Firstly I can say that i should have purchased the
external monitor years ago as difference using the 20" vs. 15" is amazing. I
was wondering if there is anyway to emulate the fn key from an external
keyboard for taks like switching wireless on and off, toggling display etc.

This may have already been answered and I don't remember for sure, but I
think scroll lock might do it. If you go to support.dell.com the docs
probably tell you.
