I've got two HP printers I'd like to print remotely to but I wonder if
they're IPP capable. That is, I'd like to print to my home computers from
outside my LAN. My two printers are 2600N and C7280A. If not IPP capable
then can someone suggest an IPP capable print server that would work well?
Thanks.

I have no idea about the C7280.

I have the earlier LaserJet 2500N, which is IPP-capable. I would be
almost 100% certain that the 2600N is, too, because it is the successor
product to the 2500N.

To print to the 2500N via IPP, you need to either have a static IP
address for your LAN or the ability to determine its IP address. Next,
the printer itself must have a fixed IP address (easily done through the
printer's browser menus). Then, the router needs to be set up to direct
all port 9100 requests to the IP address of the 2500N... Ben Myers
