Hi,

A few weeks ago I installed Win2003 SBS for training purposes and turned on
Intel QST fan control in BIOS.
Hence the New Hardware Wizard popped up fine asking for a driver. (Bios F7).

Recently, I flashed Bios to F9 (most recent) and set all BIOS settings like
with F7.
I swapped disks and installed Win2003 SBS from scratch.
But now, selecting Intel QST fan control in Bios (F9) does not pop up the
New Hardware Wizard
and there is no unrecognized hardware either.

I tried many combinations in BIOS fan control Method and Mode but no new
hardware ???!
Even a manually initiated scan did not reveil new hardware.

System
E6400 O.C.@ 3.2GHz stable, m/b GA-965P-DS4 rev2.0, bios F9, 2GB DDR800
Mushkin,
2 WD1500ADFD 10Krpm SATA in RAID1.

Btw: Intel QST looks similar on all 965P-DSx/Qx board.

How to make Intel QST fan control trigger the New Hardware Wizard so I can
install the HECI-driver.
(I have a specialy modded HECI driver .inf for SBS2003)

Any clues?

John7

My DS3 had the same problem I think after I flashed to F11b. Really
annoying. Got rid of it as a result.
