Hello,
I bought a new Sempron CPU, but it works only on 1200 Mhz.
My main board can work only with 133(266) Mhz front side bus. Is it
possible to make sempron work correctly with my old mainboard?
Thank’s for helping

You don't says which PCB version.
K7VTA3 PCB Version 8.0:
http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWeb/Support...uID=48&LanID=0
K7VTA3 PCB Version 6.0:
http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWeb/Support...uID=48&LanID=0
PCB version 1.0, 2.0A, 3.1, 5.0 and 7.0 don't supports Sempron.

Well what did you expect? Semprons require a 166MHz FSB to run at default
speeds. To get the most out of a Sempron 2200+ you'd need a FSB of 266MHz
(real clock speed) 9x266=2400MHz. That's one reason (but not the only one)
socket A Semprons suck. See Sempron in link below. A Sempron 2200
(1500MHz) is about equal to an Athlon XP 1800+ (1533MHz).

sounds like you have the version 3.0. i’m not aware of any way around
the 266fsb limitation for the cpu. if it was one of the newer boards
you’d be fine.
