Are Sempron Processors any good?

I was looking at a new PC on Ebay and I saw one at a good price with
a Sempron processor. I read that they won't work for 64 bit and there
slower than athlons.
My main concern though is are they compatible with everything a
Athlon is compatible with? I'm asking because I heard Celeron processors
won't run AutoCAD without crashing but Pentiums will. Do Sempron have
any such issues? Do they have any downsides besides speed?

See Semprons at My server below. I need to update it though, as now some
K8 Semprons are also 64 bit. Need to check before you buy.
