Hi,

I capture video from a DVD camera using Media Studio 7, mess with audio
in CoolPro and burn in EZCVD Creator and DVD Workshop.

I feel I could get better response times for most actions with a newer
setup.

I have been using XP Pro with a..

TUSL2-c mobo
512 SDRAM, (max is 512)
1.3 Celeron,
Nvidia TNT2 m64/64 AGP display

it is driving..

LAN
Firewire card
Creative Live Value 5.1 audio

2 x 80 7200 HD
1 A06 DVD Burner
1 Litone 40 CD Burner

I have now inherited a box with

P4S333-VM mobo
512 DDR (max is 2GB)
2.GB Pent
In built AGP (AGP slot is not there)
In built LAN
In built sound - (I still would use my Live 5.1)

It has only 3 pci slots.. I would use..

1 for Live sound
1 for Firewire
1 free at the moment

Question is...

Would the latter box (s333-vm) box be better for what I do?

Thanks

Rock

to edit dv footage you defintely need as much processing power as you can
unless you want to sit around for hours.

in my opinion the grapics and sound being onboard doesnt make any
difference as it is software that does all the work although you might be
more proefesional than myself and use the live 5.1 for editing the sound!!.

i would go for the higher cpu
